Ridley Scott's Robin Hood Thwarted - For Now!!

We usually don't report about pesky production delays and what not, but we've received a bit of e-mail about this movie so we thought the following might be of interest. Seems Rdley Scott's NOTTINGHAM project, which essentially role reverses Robin Hood & The Sheriff to make Robin Hood the antagonist and The Sheriff the protagonist (this description is oversimplified) has been delayed indefinitely.

Ridley Scott's revisionist take on the Robin Hood tale, had been aiming for a mid-August start date, production on the film, which is to star Russell Crowe as a sympathetic Sheriff of Nottingham, has been indefinitely postponed. A new production start date probably couldn't be set until next year. Script concerns, location logistics and the current labor unrest all played a role in the decision.
