Alright. I'm really really tired of the Sean Connery rumor... BUT it won't go away, and that might be because it's true. One of my spies at one of the Agencies round Hollywood, tells me that on their 'Casting Report' that circulates, that under the code name project "Jamboree" scheduled to begin shooting on September 19, 1999 in New Zealand, to be directed by Peter Jackson... Under the role of Gandalf it says that (Sean Connery first choice). Now I know this for a fact. The fact of the matter is... we all need to stay calm for a couple of more weeks, and some casting announcements should begin to be made. The latest rumor I heard was that Mira Sorvino was rumored to be talked to about Eowyn. So... who knows... Nothing is nailed down for sure... And I have no idea what to make of the (Sean Connery first choice) bit... Sigh...
Sean Connery HAS been living in Wellington in a house supplied by Director Peter Jackson. A half million dollar house bought buy Peter last year. Location, Island Bay, Wellington City. What makes this sighting exciting is that it was this same suburb Peter bought a house for Michael J Fox for the movie "Frighteners".
Also an unconfirmed sighting of Richard Gere. And rumors of Danny Devito persist. Peter is also actively perusing 18000 extras, he did promise the biggest battle scenes!
