Then here is a bit about Cameron's next film(?). Yeah right, how many rumors do you think we will have saying beyond a doubt what his next film is? Currently my running tab has True Lies 2, T3 (it's now been eliminated apparently), Anne Rice's The Mummy, Avatar, Spiderman, and well then there is a bit about the sun exploding, but then you'll read that below. Thank our happy drunk and wifeaphobe Norm Peterson sent it with a request for his stool back. Oh well. Here's his report:

With Titanic drawing raves in industry insider circles, it seems a certainty that director James Cameron is being swamped with follow-up offers. But according to Tom Arnold, Cameron already has his next project set: It's the sequel to True Lies, in which Tom played Arnold Schwarzenegger's partner. He says the three have already been in discussions about it, and "We're all ready to go after the first of the year."
Arnold's WB network show The Tom Show goes on hiatus in February, so he'll be available for Lies II. But what about Schwarzenegger? "Arnold will make the time," Tom says with confidence supreme.
Then we have this report comes the ol standard "High School" buddies tale. Doesn't mean it ain't true, but this often times comes across as "Tall Tale" land, and you have to realize that there may be some truth, and then again there may not be. Well, I work in a bookstore up here in Ontario, Canada, and the other day, two highschool friends of none other than...James Cameron, walk in!!!!! It was almost like meeting the almighty Canadian master himself! I struck up a chat with them and one had actually just recently spoken to Cameron a week or so prior and was inquiring about his upcoming projects! Apparently after Titanic (which I'm drooling to see, like I'm sure you are Harry), he wants his next film released to be Avatar. Most of you probably know that, and that after that most likely T3, True Lies 2, and then hopefully Spider-man, once all the legal quagmire is sorted out. But then, after that, he said that James Cameron had been working on some outlines for a script about a film that has to do with the Sun exploding, way in the future, and devouring the Solar System, let alone Earth, as it is! He would also direct it, and it shows how everyone on Earth is struggling to build giant spaceships (there had supposedly been another dark age before this and scientific thinking had vanished, and had only been restored like 100 years earlier) to get the people out of there, to live in space for eternity, and how they try to take with them all the great achievements of mankind, like great architectural structures, forms of art, literature, etc. to display to any other civilization if they were to find one. Of course like all Cameron work, it would not just be big on the special FX, but also very character oriented and moving. This is of course just a second-hand rumour, and is DEFINITELY not confirmed. We probably wouldn't see it for like 8 years or so anyway. But that sure does sound tantalizingly incredible, doesn't it? That would probably rake in BILLIONS at the box-office, also considering how high ticket prices would be then through inflation!!!
