The shoot of MI2 has become slighly hectic lately. The first thing was the much needed firing of Andrew Lesnie the DP on the project. He took way too much time and the flick would have crash landed on Memorial Day weekend if they had kept him. Cruise has been his usual perfectionist self lately which is in a word: nervewracking. Woo is too humble to argue so he just does his best on each shot. The script is actually written by Woo and Towne. Woo and Towne spent two months together every day working on the script until it was perfect. Woo wanted emotion and heroics. They delivered. Now the film is about 50% rip roaring action and 50% romance (between Thandie and Tom) But I have recieved tons of e-mails asking me one burning question: will there be shootouts? And I am sad to say at this point there are none in the script. But Woo is aiming for huge varying actions scenes, and I guarantee you this film is going to deliver, for anyone in Sydney watch Bare Island for a friggin huge big action scene to be filmed there in the coming weeks. Oh, and Harry this film has many a twist in the LA Confidential tradition, in other words they are decipherable if you get into the flick.

P.S. By the way, John Woo has final cut on this project now. Also Christian Wagner (editor from Face/Off) and Danny Elfman are on the project. They will easily make December 17.
