Mel Gibson and THE TECHNICOLOR TIME MACHINE

Haven't heard anything about THE TECHNICOLOR TIME MACHINE or Mel's alleged involvement with the project. Since he's had such a hard time moving forward with FAHRENHEIT 451, perhaps he's shopping around for other projects? Probably not, just an additional project most likely. I wish our spy here would have gone into further detail about AI.... But... thems the brakes, eh?

Last weekend I visited an SF convention here in Germany.

Among the guests were british SF author Ian Watson and Harry Harrison who wrote the novel Make Room! Make Room! that was made into the movie Soylent Green.

Watson talked almost an hour about his work with Stanley Kubrick on the abandoned A. I. project. He gave a great insight into the strange character of Kubrick.

Harry Harrison said that he recently sold the film rights to his novel The Technicolor Time Machine to Mel Gibson. The book is some kind of comedy in which a B-movie company sends a film team into the middle ages with a newly invented time machine because this is a cheap way to make a movie about the vikings.

I hope this is of interest to you.
