The Weinstein Company is developing a live-action musical film based on Jim Henson's FRAGGLE ROCK.

Pic will take the core characters Gogo, Wembley, Mokey, Boober and Red outside of their home in Fraggle Rock, where they interact with humans, which they think are aliens.

...says THIS ARTICLE in Variety. Corey Edwards, writer/director of HOODWINKED! a few years back (trailer HERE), will write/direct the Fraggles' return to the screen. Ahmet Zappa (son of Frank) is an Executive Producer on the film. I don't recall the exact details on this, but this Zappa/Fraggle project has been in the wind for some time now (at least several years). My niece is crazy for Fraggles and has already pitched a tent at the theater most likely to open the film.
