NBC's KNIGHT RIDER Pilot Arrives!! Is It The Next BATTLESTAR GALACTICA Or The Next BIONIC WOMAN??

I am – Hercules!!
TV critic Mo Ryan of the Chicago Tribune writes:
NBC has said that the network is not sending out advance copies of the [“Knight Rider” TV-movie]. So you know what that means: It's probably awesome!
Mind you, NBC had no problem sending out screeners for the pilots of “20 Good Years,” “E-Ring,” “Three Wishes,” “Inconceivable” and “Bionic Woman.” More good news. “Knight” writer David Andron, whose sole prior writing credit appears to be the seventh episode of NBC’s “Raines,” tells Entertainment Weekly that he wrote the 2-hour “Knight” teleplay in 12 days. (That’s nine days longer than it took Stallone to write “Rocky,” which won the best-picture Oscar!) Tonight’s the “Knight” directed by Steve Shill, who earlier directed episodes of two other recent TV re-imaginings: the 2003 version of “Dragnet” and the 2005 version of “Night Stalker.” It’s safe to say far more viewers will be tuning in to “Rider” than to tonight’s superb installment of “The Wire,” which airs at the same time on HBO. 9 p.m. Sunday. NBC.
