What's going on with the HALO movie?

Ahoy, squirts! Quint here again with a little update on HALO. I've been hearing for a while that HALO as a movie project was "dead," and that ran contrary to everything I've been told my sources. It was indeed put in limbo, but Peter Jackson never left it as producer and Neill Blomkamp never left it as director. I figured it was always just a matter of time before the studios realized how much money there was in HALO as a film franchise. There's an article up at a site called computerandvideogames.com which has comments from Jackson's agent, Ken Kamins, detailing why the project lost funding the first time around and that Microsoft is already negotiating with other studios to resurrect the project. I guess the fact that HALO 3 made over $300 million in a week's time might have a little something to do with the resurgence of interest. Be sure to check out the site for more info and I'll keep my ear to the ground my own self and see can hear!
