A film director, who recently worked with actress Theresa Palmer, dropped us a line a few minutes ago to let us know that Theresa has won the role of Wonder Woman in JUSTICE LEAGUE. She would also play the part in a spin-off. According to the local filmmaker (who we’ll keep anonymous, just in case it annoys the studio), Palmer just nudged out competition Mary Elizabeth Winstead. The Aussie starlet has appeared in such films as DECEMBER BOYS, 2:37, THE GRUDGE 2, and WOLF CREEK .Ummmm... okay? They’re not casting movie stars, so I’m not sure how I’m supposed to feel about this cast. All that matters is what George Miller can get out of them. I don’t think ROAD WARRIOR was packed with the very finest of the acting pool in Australia, but Miller managed to get exactly what he needed out of every single freaky-ass person in that film, and I suspect he knows exactly what he’s looking for in terms of these icons. I have seen Theresa Palmer in a few things, but she hasn’t really made a huge impression on me one way or another. Will she make a good Wonder Woman? Is this story even true? I only ask because the Superman rumor we ran yesterday appears to have been officially debunked:
