Well folks... I don't know about this... Personally the idea of 'rescoring' Night of the Living Dead... and adding new footage really doesn't do anything for me. The original is... for me... a perfect film as is. I don't need an origin to the cemetary zombie. I don't need people taunting the zombies.... the film is perfect. The tone, the scares... they are sooooo damn good as is. Well... go take a look, I'll be interested to read in TALK BACK what you folks think of this... updating...
Cereal Killer here to let you know that the trailer for the Night of The Living Dead 30th Anniversary is online. Go to http://www.homepageofthedead.com/ Scroll down the main page and a link to it should be under the recent news. There was no sound on my viewing however. From the looks of it, they seemed to do a good job of blending new footage with the old. The newer scenes that are featured(spoilers ahead) basically deal with the origin of the cemetary zombie(played by the original actor Bill Heinzman. Newer scenes also feature some Dawn of the Dead style shootings with regular people taking to the zombies like moving targets. The trailer also boasts that the film has been re-edited and rescored. Oh boy, well I'll just have to wait until it comes out to see it turns out.
