Ahoy, squirts! Quint here with a follow-up to yesterday's story. Paddy Considine was sent the script for PUNISHER 2 and offered the role of Jigsaw. He was going to read it and figure out if he was going to do the project or not, but it turns out their first choice for Jigsaw accepted the role before Considine read it.
This morning I woke to some readers pointing at Considine's blog (thanks to "G" and "Lord Cranium" for the heads up) and also a note from Lexi Alexander, the director, confirming this. She said she couldn't spill who the actor is, but did say that he was awesome and perfect for the part. She was also very nice about Considine, saying how big a fan of his she is and how she'd love to work with him at some other point.
Paddy's words aren't as cordial, but it all amounts to the same thing. Curious who is going to be the big baddie. I'd love to see a kick-ass Punisher movie where his villain is someone you can actually be scared of, someone badass enough to make it a question whether or not our beloved Frank Castle can come out on top.
