Well folks, can't help but to let you see this tidbit about filming on the Thames today, if pictures hit the papers in the UK tomorrow, we'd appreciate a looksee no? Here's the bird that prompted this posting...
It's a beautiful sunny day here in l'il ol' England and what better day could there be for filming a James Bond boat chase down the Thames. My office is between the Houses of Parliament and the MI6 offices. Streaking down the Thames was a large white pleasure cruiser/power boat followed (diving in and out of its wake, pulling tight turns, almost disappearing beneath the water) by a little black boat with some kind of weaponry attached.Damn my eyes, but I couldn't make out that much detail. (eg where Bond was supposed to be, what the bad guys looked like, any markings that may have been on the boat). I can tell you that they were heading downstream while being filmed, and that's towards Greenwich and the fabled Millenium Dome.
They were filming a couple of weeks ago as well, but they had to stop (allegedly) because the politicians complained about the noise. Probably woke them up.
It's bound to be in the papers tomorrow with pictures, but better hear today than groan tomorrow.... or something.
My names Bird, Alasdair Bird.
