Just got home intoxicated from St. Ives and a screening of FOXY BROWN. Took a look at this rumor and decided with my intoxicated brain (which ain't functioning right now) to put it up. The functioning part of my brain would like to say that I have never heard from this spy before. That I don't have a clue if it's real, but that one 44 ounce bottle of St. Ives got mid-evil (spelled badly) on my upper lobes. There are no spoilers, or at least it didn't seem so when I looked at it. By the way, did I tell you FOXY BROWN is a cool funky JACK HILL flick? No? Ok it is. Just so ya know, Dad, Copernicus and I all got blitzed beyond belief, while Robogeek survived without drinking a sip of the evil St Ives intoxication potion. Copernicus has to deliver his dissertation paper tomorrow. hahahahaahaha, sucker. I'm rambling.... I'm drunk. Didn't mean to be, but it just happened. How was I to know one bottle would whup my 300+ pound body. Oh well... Here's your news, I'll be posting more when I regain my sense...........s.s.sss.ssss...
Harry, just to let you know - there ain't no footage of Episode One yet. Lucas is busy editing the thing together. Animators at ILM are doing some prelim work, but only ONE shot has been sent to the CG people. One. Not two. Not more than two. One.
They started building models too, so ILM has come down with a "no tours or visitors" policy. Now you can only get as far as the lobby ( where you can get one of those "Attack of the Nitpickers" posters for $5 )
When I was there last week I saw some stuff out behind the new stages for Deep Impact ( BIG water/flood tanks ( two big black ones, the kind that drop LOTS of water VERY quickly ) and a couple of models.
Oh, and from someone at Lucasfilm liscencing ( is that spelled right? ): "The reason the new star wars toys aren't as cool as the old ones, you know, all bulked up and such, is that the toy companies could use either photo reference or comic book art, most went with artwork"
SPREAD THIS INFO OUT PLEASE- or my friends at ILM won't be friends any more!!
This email will self destruct in ten seconds.
