Alright folks, this is strictly RUMOR material, and I decided to throw it out to hear what you folks think of the casting concept. The source is new (thus making the story highly questionable) and since we found out the Arnold Schwarzeneggar rumor was hooey... well... Let's stay on our toes about stuff like this. Ian is a tremendous actor, and while personally I don't see him as Prof. X, well I could see him as a Magneto. And as for Gandalf... well... gosh... He could do it, if... if he were willing to do the time sacrifice. BUT REMEMBER, THIS IS JUST A RUMOR OF TALKS... NOT EVEN OF CASTING, OK? It's interesting discussion material...

I have never had anything to contribute in the way of gossip until now. A friend of mine is an acquaintance of Ian McKellen's. In talking to him, he told me that prior to Ian's flight back to London (for the premiere of GOD & MONSTERS in the UK) he met with two directors to talk about two possible roles.
1) Spoke with Bryan Singer regarding playing the role of Professor X in the X- MEN Movie (tell me that wouldn't be incredible).
2) Spoke with Peter Jackson regarding playing the role of the Wizard (Gandalf) in LORD OF THE RINGS.
Either or both of those would be incredible casting. McKellen is phenominal. Let's cross our fingers that Bryan and Peter make the right call.
