The 4400 4.1 FAQ
What’s it called?
“The Wrath of Graham.”
Who’s responsible?
Teleplay is credited to series mastermind Ira Steven Behr (“Star Trek: Deep Space Nine”) and co-executive producer Craig Sweeny (“Medium”).
What does USA say?
“Under the leadership of a new director, Meghan Doyle, NTAC faces off against a high school student named Graham Holt who took promicin and developed the ability to make people worship him like a god. Meanwhile, Tom visits Isabelle in prison, hoping she can shed some light on Alana's disappearance. Kyle meets a mysterious girl named Cassie, who offers him information that helps him wake up Shawn from his coma. Jordan Collier wrestles with his conscience as the death toll from promicin continues to rise. And Diana, upon hearing her sister April took promicin, decides to leave Ben and Maia behind in Spain and temporarily return to Seattle to find her.”
The big news?
After three seasons, Messianic 4400 zillionaire Jordan Collier demonstrates a real superpower.
What else is USA not telling us?
Jeffrey Combs and Summer Glau are back as Kevin and Tess. The new NTAC head is a hot young blonde with a “La Dolce Vita” poster hanging in her office.
What’s good?
The introduction of bench-girl Cassie. The kid-messiah stuff, especially since the kid-messiah was a big nerd outsider at his high school before he shot himself up with promicin (his worshippers are soon offering up naked cheerleaders for his use). Collier’s reaction to Messiah-kid (he’s accused at one point of indulging “messiah-envy”). The shout-out to TV On The Radio.
What’s not so good?
I wouldn’t have minded if the messiah-kid went more evil. But maybe the kid was made relatively benign to make a larger point about Collier?
How does it end, spoiler-boy?
My notes suggest the last three words of the episode might be, “Are you ready?”
