Details on Harry's Appearance on SISKEL AND EBERT...

Alright folks, here are the additional details that I received today about my appearance on SISKEL AND EBERT as a Guest Critic.

I spoke with the producer of the show today and got the following information. I will be taping the show in Chicago on Wednesday, April 21st for a show that will be being seen on April 24th and 25th.

Just like the other Guest Critics, I will be responsible for 2 of the 5 reviews, and will take part in discussions on each film. I am not sure yet what films will be reviewed on that episode, but early speculation on titles includes possibly PUSHING TIN, ELECTION, LOST & FOUND and eXistenZ. None of those are set in stone yet, and since there are always 5 reviews, something (at least) will be added.

As for some of the TALK BACK comments from yesterday... First off... Thanks. I am eager and stunned that I am going on Siskel and Ebert. Is it a dream come true? Not really. I always wanted to tune in and watch Siskel and Ebert forever. I didn't want to be a part of the show my entire life. I think like a lot of you, I've always wanted to discuss movies with these two because... well, you know that it would be an amazing conversation.

As for the folks that expect me to be 'combative' and 'argumentative'... Well... What I've told Roger is basically this. Whether I agree or disagree with him... I will do so with the passion I have as a film lover. The other critics Roger has had on are among the best written critics in the United States. I on the otherhand am merely a passionate writer of film. For me, that is what made Siskel and Ebert so magical... They're passion. Whether it be Siskel talking with energetic glee about wanting to see a sequel to BABE 2: PIG IN THE CITY featuring Ferdinand (the talking goose) as the main character, or Roger naming DARK CITY at the top spot of his 10 Best List.

I don't pretend to think I'm 'one of the foremost film critics in the world'. But I'd match my passion against the best of any of them. If you think I'm going to make a fool out of myself on the show... Tune in... Watch and See. You might be in for a surprise, or you might get what you are expecting. For me... It will be a conversation about 5 films with another film lover... No less... No more... We'll agree and disagree, and will do so with no apologies.

No matter what, it’s going to be one heck of an experience... I can’t wait.
