MTV, fearful of slipping ratings, has supposedly been steering away from reality programming, but only certain types of reality programming. The channel is pumping out more “Real World,” “Road Rules” and “Real World/Road Rules Challenge” than ever before. Tonight the channel adds another component to the franchise, a reunion series that pulls together the players from 2002’s “The Real World: Las Vegas” – still widely held as the most compelling of the series to date. The official “Reunited” debut slot is 10 p.m. Wednesday, but MTV is also offering an “afternoon sneak” of the show at 4:30 p.m. (or even 1:30 p.m. if you’re on the West Coast with DirecTV). The evening transmission is immediately preceded by “Real World Denver: The Shit They Should’ve Shown,” featuring outtakes and blurred-out female nudity. “The Shit They Should’ve Shown”: 9 p.m. Wednesday.
