Capone Has The Scoop On
The Penultimate SHIELD!!

I am – Hercules!!
After tonight, only one episode of the sixth season left, and Capone has lowdown on tonight! Beware those uninvisotexted spoilers! Episode 6.9 Hey everyone. Capone in Chicago here with the penultimate episode of Season 6 of "The Shield." I know some of you who haven't found these episodes online already think I'm giving away too much in my summaries. Too bad; don't read if you don't want to know too much. Most of you are just digging the fact that AICN finally has a place where fans of "The Shield" can write and comment on the show. For the players and the haters, here's Episode 6.9, entitled "Recoil." Vic approaches his political connection, who earlier had promised to help him out with the review hearing. The guy informs him that Vic has too many enemies high up in the police force and government, and he simply isn't powerful enough to help him despite the leverage that Vic has on him. When Vic returns to the Barn, Aceveda is waiting for him with his chief backer, who has a possible suspect name in the San Marco murders. After confronting Claudette about the fixed hearing, he vows to become indispensable by solving this case. Shane wants to get a partner percentage of the Armenia business. In return, he leads Franka toward the nearest threat to her leadership. He brings her to Claudette with trumped-up charges against Franka's enemy. Hyatt (the new leader of the Strike Team) wants the team to work on both the Armenian and the San Marco murders, but Vic is secretly suspicious of Shane's motivations and connections to the Armenians. Soon, Shane and Ronnie confront a dock worker about his connection to the Armenians, and they move in on Franka's enemies. The other Strike Team members bring in the first suspect in the San Marcos massacre, and Vic makes a deal with him to give over the names of the other killers. Vic has already make arrangements with the Mexicans to secretly turn over the killers in exchange for keeping the peace. Ronnie and Vic stage a fake bust of the two killers, when in fact they have already stashed them away and delivered them to the Mexicans. Hyatt is pissed at Vic because he's convinced Vic played him about the San Marcos suspects, but he can't prove it. Dutch and Wiggins investigate the possible murder of a gay man at the hands of a man he met on the Internet. Wiggins in tired of Dutch feeling he can hold over the vending machine scam over his head, and he looks for an opportunity to get back at him. He notices that Hyatt and Tina (Paula Garces) are flirting a little bit and sets out to push the two of them together, since he knows Dutch has a bit of a crush on Tina. After finding out Tina and Hyatt are going out that night, Wiggins swipes Tina's phone and text messages Dutch to meet her for dinner at her place. When Dutch arrives, he sees something through the window he doesn't want to see. Problem is, he's seen looking into the window. Vic confronts Franka about her connection to Shane. Vic positions himself to be her man in the department rather than Shane. Soon after, she cancels her deal with Shane. Shane confronts Vic and announces that he's pulling his transfer request since he knows Vic is out in a matter of days. Vic pleads with Claudette about his job, and later he meets with Aceveda threatening to investigate his backer's connection to the Mexican gangs. Strangely enough, the backer actually wants Vic to stay on the job (and keep Vic in his pocket), and to help Vic in his cause he gives Vic a photograph of Aceveda (yes, THAT photo!) to use in his "negotiations" with Aceveda in keeping his job. Shane makes one last attempt with Franka to keep their relationship alive, culminating with him giving her Vic's name as the perpetrator of the Armenian money train robbery. Turns out, her father ran that money laundering operation and lost six month's worth of profit on that one heist. She says that Vic needs to be "dealt with" for the robbery, and short-sighted Shane realizes what he's set into motion just a little too late. Capone
