PIRATES Invade Disneyland!! AT WORLD'S END Premiere Pics!! Ride Refit Art!! Etc!!

Merrick here...
The ever reliable, infinitely patient, and always kind BuzzLightbeer sent along a torrent of images from various PIRATES goings on - including shots from Saturday's premiere of AT WORLD'S END (the scope of the occasion surprises me for some reason). Buzz described the tone of the event as "madness", although he was quick to point out that Disney did a great job organizing the shindig. Buzz also wanted to let readers know that Johnny Depp and Orlando Bloom spent a majority of their Red Carpet time speaking with fans - as opposed to schmoozing the TV cameras, tabloid reporters, etc. They appreciate their audience, and it shows. Keira Knightley wasn't present. The first few images may be something of a "Where's Waldo?" (I haven't looked too closely). For example, isn't that Ian Ziering in the lower/center of the top photo? Is this the first time Ziering has been either mentioned or shown on AICN? Probably so I should think, because it's the first time he's ever done something vaguely cool (attending the premiere, I mean...he's not in the movie that I know of). If you find more faves, drop a note in the Talkback below.

Here are some developmental images from the “Pirate's Lair on Tom Sawyer Island” – a refit that will bring the long-standing Tom Sawyer Island attraction into the PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN universe. Needless to say,the final product may differ from the concept proposals.

Finally, here are some images of the character clones that'll be invading The Magic Kingdom. If it isn't already happening, they'll arrive immediately. That Sparrow guy (note the wire mic) looks pretty Sparrowy, although he reminds me of a comedian. Can't quite place who he reminds me of...is it Pauly Shore, maybe?
As always, big thanks to BuzzLightbeer for these. His efforts and loyalty are most appreciated.
