Both the Hollywood Reporter and Daily Variety indicate that “Veronica Mars” will almost certainly not be on The CW’s fall schedule when the netlet announces it on Thursday. From Variety:

The CW has officially greenlit three dramas and two unscripted magazine shows — and it's looking like the sun is going down on "Veronica Mars." … while nothing's official, people familiar with the situation said "Mars" was, indeed, canceled.

… the CW, which is gearing up for its Thursday upfront presentation, ordered three new drama series -- "Gossip Girl," "Reaper" and the untitled South Africa project -- to fill the void from the departure of veterans "7th Heaven" and "Gilmore Girls" and cult favorite "Veronica Mars."
