Capone Appraises
THE SHIELD 6.4!!

I am – Hercules!!
AICN’s main man in the Midwest, “Capone,” loads up his take on “The Shield” 6.4. Beware uninvisotexted spoilers! Episode 6.4 -- The New Guy In the heat of a shoot out, Vic and The Team meet a new team member name Hyatt. This much younger man is not meat to replace Lem. Instead he is being brought in to replace Vic when he retires. Claudette tells Vic that she's putting his retirement up for review to see if she can keep him on board, but she reveals to Hyatt that this is a lie. Vic is out in three weeks. Not surprisingly, the team is bristly to the new guy, but Vic figures he'd better be nice to show the bosses he's a team player. During an interrogation, Vic and Hyatt go at a suspect together, feeling each other's methods out as they question a gang member weaving a tale of a revolution taking place with one of the city's major gangs. Vic decides to protect the splinter gang, since they actually seem to care about helping in the community. Meanwhile, Dutch and Billings investigate a brutal rape case in which the victims are anally raped and have "Go Home" carved into their stomachs. The rapist is targeting young runaway girls, so Dutch sets out to interview shelters for runaway girls. Still overwhelmed with guilt, Shane takes out his feelings on Hyatt and the two almost come to blows. The ghost of Lem is still very much in the squad house, as a box of books arrives, books that Lem was going to take to jail with him. Also, Corrine shows up at the squad house to tell the team about a dream she'd had the night before with Lem in it. Vic and Shane interpret the dream very differently. Aceveda is getting pressure from Mexican leaders about the unsolved mass murder of illegals, possibly killed by Salvadorans. The implication is that if these cases don't get solved, Aceveda may lose his support. As the episode winds down, Vic flips and destroys a hospital waiting room and an unlikely offer to join the strike team is made to a familiar face--Julien. Capone
