"All Our Yesterdays" Lie Ahead On STAR TREK Remastered!!

Merrick here...
..with an image from this weekend's STAR TREK Remastered. It's..."All Our Yesterdays"!!! This is the one in which the population of a planet flees into that world’s past to escape an impending supernova. Kirk & Co. get swept back in time as well. Shatner ends up in the planet’s Salem-like period and is promptly put on trial for witchcraft by people in goofy looking wigs. Spock ends up in an Ice Age, goes horny for the Polaroid girl, and gets pissy with Bones. This is the second-to-last episode of The Original Series. Always LOVED the premise of this episode, although I was never particularly fond of its execution. I’m a sucker for finding answers to current issues in the past (THE VOYAGE HOME…does anyone remember a story/movie called MILLENNIUM?). Here’s a before/current shot from the end of the episode, in which Enterprise narrowly misses the supernova. Note the planet behind the ship in the Remastered shot. Wonder if they'll show it getting blasted on-screen?

HERE's a list of airdates and stations showing the Remastered TREK. If you can't find a station near you, they can also be downloaded via XBOX Live (where an increasing number of episodes are available in High Definition - the series is not shown in HD by many broadcasters). On a side note…. The entirety of the original series is available through XBOX Live. These “Remastered” episodes are slowly replacing the original versions there & are identifiable ‘cause they’re the ones with the “High Definition” tag on them. HOWEVER, it’s been a REALLY long time since fresh “Remastered”/HD episodes have been added onto XBOX Live. Same for their availability on iTunes. For a series whose broadcast is consistent and ongoing (even though it’s hard to find in many markets), this is pretty uncool. Essentially, sites like AICN regularly send people out to find episode that simply aren’t there. Bad move by The Powers That Be. Other currently running series are added onto XBOX Live and iTunes all the time...very quickly...after episodes initially air. JERICHO for example (which I will fully exalt at a later date) shows up on XBL almost immediately after its original airdate. Some better system needs to be established to get these Remasters in front of people on a consistent basis. And, ironically, JERICHO is from CBS/Paramount like TREK. Shrugs.
