Wim Wenders is one of those filmmakers that you can never take your eyes off of. He is hypnotic and entrancing. And his films are... quite wonderful. And here's the first word about dailies from our spy... Yesac...
I am working on Wim Wenders "The Million Dollar Hotel" , and let me tell you that the dalies look pretty good! Dispite working in a "skid row crack hotel", the cast & crew also face being "pummeled" the various items the locals "hurl" out the window at them each day. The crew has had to be given construction "hard hats" just so they can walk outside without being hit by beer bottles, or lumber, or "human matter" (insert your imagination here).
Jeremy Davies & Milla Jojovich star, with Jimmy Smits, Gloria "Titanic" Stuart , Mel Gibson, and Julian Sands, and many others!
Production will wrap in about 7-10 days, and you should see this film in release in late 1999 . No domestic distributer yet, but look for ICON, (Mel's Production Company) to possibly get Paramount to pick it up for domestic , since they just moved off the Warner Bros. lot, and onto the Paramount lot last Friday (3/12/99). Of course wim Wenders last release did really poorly here in the USA, so keep your eyes peeled to the "art house" theatres!
