What is TV Guide not telling us? “Dr. Robert Hume” has the rumored spoilers TV Guide wouldn’t couldn’t shouldn’t tell you about. -Jack gets the circuit board that the Chinese guy wants in exchange for Audrey. But Ricky catches him! --Jack convinces CTU that they should let him go through with his plan to fake out the Chinese and, because it's motherfuckin' Jack Bauer, they of course agree. -Palmer finds out about the VP's plan to commit perjury in order to regain the presidency. He asks the VP to resign. In other news, the VP and his sultry blonde assistant are getting it on! Nice one, Powers Boothe! -Palmer gives a press conference to tell the US that the bombs are safe and that everything's cool. Only... everything isn't cool! He starts bumbling names and answers and then collapses! The VP tucks that resignation letter back in his jacket and retakes the presidency! -Upon being told of Bauer's Chinese gambit, rather than risk WWIII for the 87th time today, the VP tells them to call off the mission. -Bauer, of course, is having none of it. He pulls a gun on Ricky and kicks him out of the car. Bauer takes off! He's dealing with the Chinese whether you like it or not! Maybe we can still make this WWIII thing happen after all!
