UPDATED: Dr. Worm’s Had A Quick Peek At The Wachowski-Supervised THE INVASION!!

UPDATE ************ OTX contacted us and threatened legal action based on Warner Brother's copyright on the scene breakdown. Apparently the text descriptions of the scenes were copied verbatim from a survey. 2:30pm CST 16 April 2007 ************ Hey, everyone. ”Moriarty” here. I have to admit, I just can’t work up much enthusiasm for yet another retelling of INVASION OF THE BODY SNATCHERS. It’s decent material, but I feel like it’s been pretty thoroughly mined at this point. I’m sure it’ll be professional, and I expect it’ll have some moments, but unless there’s some great subtext that I’m not picking up on yet, I’m not really sure why anyone felt the need to do this again. Here’s Dr. Worm with a description of the trailer he just saw for the film, the first definitive info we’ve had on how the film is tackling the material:

Hey Harry, I just saw the trailer to the new Daniel Craig, Nicole Kidman, movie The Invasion. First let me note that this movie is pre-007 for Mr. Craig, so don't get mad at him. I'm sure that looking back he would love to not have had this movie be the follow up to Casino Royale. With that said, this movie looks like ass. I wish I could come up with a better word, but ass is as good a word as any. Below is a recap of the trailer. It feels like every other "Invasion of the Body Snatchers" type of movie. Scene 1: REMOVED Scene 2: REMOVED Scene 3: REMOVED Scene 4: REMOVED Scene 5: REMOVED Scene 6: REMOVED Scene 7: REMOVED Scene 8: REMOVED Scene 9: REMOVED Scene 10: REMOVED Scene 11: REMOVED Scene 12: REMOVED And end Scene. That's it. Nothing really different. Quick cuts and Techno music. It's the same ol Song and Dance. I don't know if I want to pay money to see this. If I do, maybe they will use it to make another shitty movie. They call me Dr. Worm
