Overseas TMNT Promotional Art!! It's Differenter Than Ours!!

Merrick here...
…with a brief (and admittedly frivolous) aside. A tip of the hat, if you will, to a movie that’s opening tomorrow. As you’re no doubt aware, TMNT (TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES) arrives Friday. You’ve likely seen this promotional artwork making the rounds on the Nets and in theaters:

I thought TURTLES fans might enjoy a glimpse at this film is being sold overseas; definitely a different approach. Personally, I like the dynamic of these images a bit more than the American artwork. I think there are more fun, and more in keeping with the tone of the film. I especially dig the “group shot” one sheet.

Be sure to check out Massawyrm’s review of the film. He liked it a bit more than I did (I thought it was agreeably diverting, but never really came to life). You can find his thoughts HERE. One element of the project that DOES intrigue me quite a bit is that it's the first feature film for many of the folks who made it - director Kevin Munroe included. CLICK HERE to read an interesting interview with John Damien (TMNT's editor) about his experience on the film (his first feature).
