So Is King Leonidas A Snake? Will Gerard Butler ESCAPE FROM NEW YORK?!

Hey, everyone. ”Moriarty” here. Variety’s Michael Fleming has broken the story, and I have no idea what to think of it. Gerard Butler is interested in starring in a remake of ESCAPE FROM NEW YORK. I have no idea what Neal Moritz and Ken Nolan have in mind, so it’s hard to know if this is a good thing or a bad thing. All you can ask is would Butler be a good choice for Snake Plissken, hypothetically speaking? I’m sure we’ll hear more details soon. For now, here’s what Fleming had to say:

”Hot off the socko bow of "300" this past weekend, star Gerard Butler is at the center of a package that CAA began shopping Monday for a remake of John Carpenter's 1981 actioner "Escape From New York."
