SON OF CHUCKY and more...

Well, it doesn't get much cooler than SON OF CHUCKY. I friggin loved BRIDE OF CHUCKY and I'm hoping for some seriously sick and twisted Freudian wackiness from this one. But does the SON OF CHUCKY wet-a-lot?

Just thought you might be interested in a few interesting tidbits I was able to aquire. First off Chucky creator Don Mancini will write and direct Son of Chucky, due for release in early 2000. Fangoria magazine reported that both Brad Dourif and Jennifer Tilly will return. In other brad Dourif news, the actor also has a meaty role in The Prophecty III: The Ascent. Music video director Paul Hunter will direct an adaptation of Hellblazer. I'm not quite sure which studio is attached to that one, but I'll let you know when I get more information. Anyway, here is some news you may find extremely interesting, however I'm dealing with a touchy subject so posting the second half of this message, if you choose to, is optional.

About a month ago I attended a screenwriter's network party, and ran into a writer, whom had written a plethora of Tales From the Crypt episodes, among other things. Anyway, he clued me in on the fact that there were actually three Tales From the Crypt films made. Aside from Demon Knight, and Bordello of Blood, a third film entitled Fat Tuesday was completed. Why hasen't this film seen the light of day.you ask? Well the script required a large African American cast in a tale about voodoo in New Orlenes. During pre production there were huge debates on whether or not the film would be commercially viable. By the time principal photograhy commenced, the cast was entirely white. Joel Silver steped in, shortly after the film was completed, and claimed that he would be branded a racist if the film was ever shown, so he locked it in a vault, hoping that no one would either see or hear about it. If this information is true it would be interesting to obtain a screener of this sucker. That's it for now.
