Aaron Eckhart! Harvey Dent! It's True!

Okay. Yes. It’s true. As rumored for the last few weeks, Aaron Eckhart appears to be in final negotiations to play Harvey Dent in THE DARK KNIGHT, which most likely means we can expect to see him appear as Two-Face in whatever the Batman film after that is called. The Hollywood Reporter was the first trade to confirm the story, but I don’t think anyone was terribly surprised. I think it’s a great choice. I’m sitting here watching the extra features on the PRESTIGE DVD, and all I can say about Batman and Nolan is that I have total trust in this filmmaker at this point. He seems to be on a creative roll right now, and I’m excited to see what he does with his first sequel. I’m not jumping up and down just because it’s over a year away, and there’s a lot of great stuff coming out between now and then. I’m sure that first glimpse of The Joker will send me into a fanboy overload, but for now, this news just continues to reassure me that the property is in the right hands.
