A Muppet "Reality" Show In The Works!?!?

Looks like a new Muppet television show may be in the works...and a 10 minute demo has already been shot (apparently, it was completed last month).

This presentation pilot, completed in January 2007, proposes a mini-series shot in mock documentary style that continues to follow the adventures of the Muppets as they create a new show.

...says THIS ARTICLE. I love this. I'm glad they're not trying of a variety show of some sort - as I don't think a traditional "variety show" would work well in today's market(unless it was akin to AMERICON IDOL...i.e. denizens of the Muppet world auditioning to become the next famous Muppet, or something like that. Think of how fun the shitty Muppet auditions could be!) But this "reality" approach could be a lot of fun, allowing for the madness and bickering that made the original Muppet Show so damn cool, while also leaving room for fresh, "real world" interaction. A good formula as far as I'm concerned. Thanks to Rob for sendning this along.
