OK folks, I kinda showed my butt yesterday. A friend of mine over there working on
GODZILLA bent my ear about the absolute confirming of those sketches. Then I went
and took a closer look at them. Took them into Photoshop where I took a hard look.
And I came to the conclusion that besides the "chin" being sort of square-ish, well it
doesn't much look like what I saw. This friend of mine pointed out that the fact was the
sketches were bogus material sent out to ferret out leaks, the influence for that design was
from the GODZILLA VS THE THING poster.
And the "Trendmasters" remark was an assumption, not a fact. Call it a job of bad reporting on my part. It looked like a "Trendmasters" type of thing. But really the big guy is quite a bit more... Godzilla-ie looking. Everything I saw had him up on two legs, and he looked designed to be on two legs. To me the only big change was the chin, thinner and longer arms (though after watching Godzilla Vs The Smog Monster the other night, I can say Godzilla does have pretty long arms in that one.) So basically the only thing that can be taken from those two shots is the chin. Sorry about the error, but I figured you should know. It won't happen again.
