Ok, first a bit of good news, it appears Tim Burton is in discussions with Kevin Spacey for SUPERMAN. Which part? I have no idea, hopefully he's Luthor, and he'd be perfect for that.
Meanwhile this spy known as Seaweed had this wild adventure with the Superman himself. Read in awe at the ever perking ears of chlorophyll plantlife reveals details from the mouth of the man himself. (well, that's what it said...)
So I'm looking at the Breakdown laserdisc at the Virgin Megastore on Sunset and Crescent Heights in LA and I look over to see Nichoals Cage buying a handful of lasers. It was weird cause playing right next to me was The Rock...Anyway, he goes to buy his lasers and the clerks start asking him about Superman. He tells them its been pushed back seven months, something I also heard from a woman I met who is set to work on the costume team. It's still going he says.
Then they start talking about comic books, and Mr. Cage talks about them in such detail even I'm not sure what he is saying. He says he's buying up all the Silver Age Superman books. Now. Then I remember someone telling me that Mr. Cage is probably the most avid celebrity comic book collector in Hollywood. He's got the bucks to do it too. So, as far as these stories about how they are going to ruin the Superman franchise and letting the filmmakers know how the fans feel, I say trust Nicholas Cage. I'm sure he has not taken this job lightly, and wants to do something really special with it, like the true fan that he seems to be.
I also heard they really want Sandra Bullock for Lois Lane. And since everyone seems to want to work with Tim Burton anyway, doesnt that seem likely?
