Peter Weir joins the SHADOW DIVERS in deep sea diving and searching for sunken Nazi ships!!!

Ahoy, squirts! Quint here. I love Peter Weir's flicks. Love 'em. And now he's attached to another really interesting sounding project called SHADOW DIVERS based on a non-fiction book called SHADOW DIVERS: THE TRUE ADVENTURE OF TWO AMERICANS WHO DISCOVERED HITLER'S LOST SUB. I so want that full title to be on a poster next year... maybe work it like the LORD OF THE RINGS movies... have SHADOW DIVERS really big and then all the post-colon stuff smaller underneath. That'd rock. Anyway, the story is about two real life deep sea divers who discover a sunken U-boat about 60 miles off the coast of New Jersey and their obsession to identify the vessel. Bill Broyles (APOLLO 13 and CAST AWAY) is scripting. The deal is being set now, but Weir still plans on making William Gibson's PATTERN RECOGNITION... no word on whether that'll happen before or after the sunken Nazi ship movie or not.
