COBALT 60 getting the big screen treatment, courtesy of Zack Snyder!

Ahoy, squirts! Quint here. News hit today that Universal and Zack Snyder are following up his work next year on Frank Miller's 300 with an adaptation of the underground comic COBALT 60, by Mark Bode.

The books focus on a quest for revenge in a postapocalyptic world inhabited by mutants and bizarre creatures.

As interesting as these books look, I'd rather he focus on getting WATCHMEN made and getting made right. I'd love to see that story told on the big screen, but I'm at a complete loss as to how you'd do it in one film. Still, after seeing all that 300 footage, I'd love to see him try!

COBALT 60 is still looking for a writer, so maybe that puts it behind WATCHMEN...
