Just a little movie news I came upon, that I thought you might want to put up on your site.
The book "The Cobra Event", by Richard Preston (he also wrote The Hot Zone) is to be made into a movie. I learned this from a comment the author posted on Amazon.com. Out of curiousity, I emailed him (his address is given on Amazon) and he wrote back saying that Julia Roberts was currently "chasing" the main role.
For the uninnitiated, The Cobra Event is a sci-fi thriller in which CDC scientists along with the FBI rush to contain a man-made plague that has broken out in New York City. Sort of "Outbreak-meets-Seven". It's a great novel and would make one hell of a movie. As yet, though, it's not listed on the IMDb and Richard Preston didn't mention whether a director was attached.
