Harry is headed for Rotterdam

Hey folks, well in about 8 hours I'll be enroute to Rotterdam for the "INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL ROTTERDAM" (Here is the website!)

I'm taking part in a panel about how important all this stuff we do here is, the importance of Film Criticism and Film Journalism, etc. God only knows why they want me, they got people far more qualified by me, but I figure they have to beat up on someone, and I am a rather lovely punching bag. The panel/seminar is taking place on Monday the 1st of February.

I'll be there through next Thursday I believe (aren't I organized?) and if you are in Rotterdam... or even Amsterdam, drop me a line at the Hilton Hotel in Rotterdam (this thing I have says Weena 10, now that's either an address or it represents a clone number of Yvette Mimieux). I'm sure I'll be taking in a lot of the films there at the festival, but I'll also be dying to check out a poster shop in Rotterdam, or perhaps a day trip to Amsterdam and I haven't anyone to go with yet. It's always fun to hook up with net folks while on a trip.

I won't be checking email while I am gone, but Father Geek will be checking all emails and posting updates EVERYDAY THAT I AM GONE.... WON'T YOU FATHER GEEK?? That's what I thought!!!

Hopefully I'll come back with some cool stories and reviews of films that noone has heard of. Other than the recent film STILL CRAZY and SOLDIER OF ORANGE, I really haven't got too strong of an image in my mind of where I'm going. This is going to be one helluva trip. I can't wait to get mayo with my fries, and a beer in the theater... it'll be like the Alamo Drafthouse... but everywhere... right?
