Ok everybody, this is a RUMOR, as in it's a lot like that story over at Corona Coming Attractions about Catherine Zeta-Jones and WONDER WOMAN (which my people tell me ain't happening, but hey... they could be wrong). Take it with gobs of salt, big ol heaping loads of it. Also throw back a few Tequilas while licking that salt block. This comes from a 'new' source, and is untested and unconfirmed. Treat is as such, ok?
After reading the week-old or so news re Batman 5, I felt moved to slip you some rumors/news about the possibility of a Catwoman movie.
The studio is thinking about resurrecting CATWOMAN as a stalling-until-we- dare-to-try-Batman-again franchise. They would not go back to the earlier drafts done after BATMAN RETURNS, but would start fresh. They've heard at least one story that at least some people there love and know would work, but for some reason they're not making up their mind. Tim Burton might be involved, but probably not direct.
The biggest news: Michelle Pfeiffer would be out. She's too old, now the "mother" (in age) of the teenage boys the studio hopes would go see the movie. Maybe Drew Barrymore, maybe Sarah Michelle Geller, maybe Gwyneth Paltrow, maybe...?
I know this isn't much, but for those of us who'd love to see anything from Gotham done right, it's at least a crumb.
Call me catgirl.
