Well, This ain't much of a review... in fact it's another one of them short one sentence kinda things. I had heard from various scheduling people, that there was a gathering at the Ranch, and well... It seems that there were no reportings of 'ill news' from the screening. Personally I can't wait to hear something a bit more 'first hand', but hell, getting a running time out of it is pretty darn cool I think. Can you imagine having seen a rough cut, walking the earth staring into the eyes of all of those people out there... that don't know? Wouldn't it be cool to have each of the guys listed below to write their thoughts about seeing the film at this early stage. How much there was left to do? Did it inspire any of them to want to do something different than what they were planning on doing? How were their dreams that night? Oh well, I'll go nuts thinking about this, so here's this according to ol Travelin Sullivan...
...according to the driver who picked me up at Oakland Airport today. According to him he had also chauffered someone named Drew (no idea on the last name except it started with a C and sounded Polish) who saw it today, and said it was incredible. Still not finished (incomplete bluescreen shots, rough sound, etc.) and came in at a running time of 2'15". After seeing it he reported it was going to "blow Titanic out of the water." Also blown away by the screening were Ron Howard, Steven Spielberg, Frank Darabont, Francis Ford Coppola, Lawerence Kasdan among others. Um, I think we knew that...
