This here comes with the biggest bag of salt you can imagine. Until we see these '5 trailers' it should be 'bs'. Until you hear Warners announce another film deal.... it's bollocks. And until we hear from more sources that the film is finished it's post work.... keep on believing that Stanley is in an editing room somewhere with golden hued equipment and heavenly light illuminating every enchanted frame of his latest blessed work. So take the following as you will....
Over Christmas my uncle (who works in [a capacity that Harry will not let you know about]) gave me following (minor) tidbits regards STANLEY KUBRICK.
- Eyes Wide Shut is now COMPLETELY finished (even sound) and has been seen by WB, some cast and crew.
- The deal for another film has been finalised.
- Not one but FIVE trailers for Eyes Wide Shut have been made by the director.
- Kubrick is attempting to quash reprints of original source of the film's plot, an obscure 20s novel.
Not very sexy news perhaps, but from a (I think) very reliable source. If he got the correct gist of a couple of faxes he came across.
