Soooooo, you want to hear what Jackie Chan is up to next eh? Well here's a report from MC4 about what's going on with the man that just kicks ass like none other. Here we go...
Note: Chan already has another movie that should be finished filming soon. The movie, "Gorgeous," is a romantic comedy that will be released in Hong Kong on the Lunar New Year. "Twin Dragons" will be released in the US in March.)
"Shanghai Noon," originally known as "West, West," will be Chan's next Hollywood movie. Chan will play a Ching Dynasty bodyguard who travels to the US in order to save a princess. It is not known if Chan will shave his forehead for the role (which was the custom during that period). The budget is expected to be over $35 million. A nice chunk of that money will go to Chan for his dual roles as actor and co-producer. Former music video director Tom Dey will direct the movie. Dey's only pervious film work is the Chris Tucker comedy "Double 0-Soul." Part of "Shanghai Noon" will be shot in Bei Jing and Hong Kong with Chinese actors. Chan has already invited Michael Wong to appear in the movie. Filming is expected to begin in March.
