I just want to say right up front that until I see a press conference on television announcing the Richard Donner/Mel Gibson/Jack Nicholson thing... I'm not going to spend one single brain cell (that's about all I have, I'm told) thinking about this one. I'm just gonna pass along what this British paper published. However, I find the Jennifer Lopez and Paul Verhoeven bit to be... a bit more believable, though... the script wouldn't call for 'much' nudity by Jennifer Lopez... I say she should do it because... ummmm.. well the character's soul cries out to be unrestrained by the bonds of society. Uh yeah.... Right.... Suuuuuuuuure...
In this mornings Daily Mail (UK National Newspaper), the showbiz reporter Baz Baminboyde (who is normally pretty reliable as he has spent atleast the past 10 years butt kissing the stars) reports the following that I have not seen anywhere else:

Richard Donner is in discussions to direct with Mel Gibson being lined up as the new Batman. The article then goes onto say that Jack Nicholson has been approached to reprise his role as the Joker. It also says that George Clooney told Baz in Venice last year that he does not want to be Batman, and that Kurt Russell has turned down the job.
The Hollow Man
Baz informs us that Jennifer Lopez has withdrawn from the project. It seems that her and Paul Verhoven could not agree on the 'nudity' issue (i.e she wanted none, and Verhoven wanted her naked for most of the film). So now they are looking for a new female lead. He seemed pretty certain on this issue.
