Taint much, but good ol McFadden came through with the spirit of a champ. Remember that Travolta flick I sent a bunch a people to audition for? A CIVIL ACTION, well here is another report from the Boston area...
I'm not a regular informant, but I would be considered a fellow geek. I wanted to pass on a little filming news I saw on a local Boston six o'clock news broadcast. (BTW, I'm from about 45 miles outside of Boston)
John Travolta was filming some scenes in downtown Boston outside the state house (state capitol), which I believe was used for filming some scenes in "Amistad." Anyway, Travolta was here for a film called "A Civil Act." Not much about the plot was mentioned, but it involves some true story about some local company spilling chemical waste in town and an ensuing law suit, I think.
Travolta was swarmed by fans as he got into a black limo. Some fans got autographs and one woman said she'd been a fan since "Welcome Back, Kotter." One strange part of the story was that Robert Duvall was on the location as well, but he was either ignored or went unnoticed by the people there. Funny how people forget our great actors for the newest sensations. I like John Travolta, but Duvall's obviously the better actor. I would've tried to get Duvall's autograph myself, but that's just me.
Hope you can use this minor bit of news. It's easy to be a spy when your source is TV...
