Danny DeVito to remake THE MAN WHO CAME TO DINNER

Well, it’s time for ANOOOOOOOTHER remake I guess. Gosh.... it’s been what... a few minutes since the last one was brought up? Well, this time round the block, the powers that be are deciding to remake THE MAN WHO CAME TO DINNER. Yeah, I know, most of you ain’t ever heard of it... well, go rent it. It’s a great classic comedy. It’s directed by William Keighley. What’s that? You don’t know the guy? Heathens. Sigh. Sorry. It’s just, Keighley and Michael Curtiz are two of my favorite directors, and well... it seems more times than naught, people aren’t aware of either. But ya see, I started finding out about em, cause they both directed my favorite film, THE ADVENTURES OF ROBIN HOOD with Errol Flynn. I wonder who he's gonna cast in Bette Davis and Ann Sheridan's shoes... as well as Jimmy Durante's. OH Well, actually, I’ll tell ya what, this film is perfect material for Danny DeVito, I can just see him being mean as hell with it, while striking out with that mean sense of humor he has. Let’s see how this one develops....

This is the first time I have a scoop for you. In the news a couple a days ago came a VO about the location for Danny DeVito's remake of "The Man Who Came For Dinner". I got the VO from the website of WCAX.

”....Some of Hollywood's biggest hotshots may be headed to the Green Mountain State in the coming months. The village of Woodstock hopes to play host to actor and producer Danny DeVito's remake of "THE MAN WHO CAME TO DINNER." Oscar-winning actor Dustin Hoffman has reportedly committed to the movie -- and if DeVito can sign another Oscar-winniing actress, town officials say that shooting would begin in February. The movie production company also plans to audition local citizens to serve as extras. -3-.....”
