Glen here...
A clip identified as the "intro" to WB's forthcoming revamp of the animated Batman franchise (this time it's called Batman Beyond) is now on-line at http://www.batman-beyond.com.
Presumably, this is the series' opening title sequence. It features schitzofrentic editing slightly similar to the title sequences of the Spawn movie, Seven, or Millennium (with descriptive words inter-cut with the fast-paced images), and a hard-driving propulsive rock theme.
I've had a tough time with this download - the play-back seems to freeze roughly half-way through the presentation, and I've not been able to actually save its QuickTime file in my system (probably by design?). None the less, I thought this could be of interest to those whose systems aren't recovering from a recent crash, as mine still is.
I really do look forward to learning people's opinions regarding this new approach to Batman. You certainly can't judge everything from a title sequence, but you can sure get a sense of The Bat's newly re-defined sensibilities from this clip. So, be sure to utilize the Talkbacks below if you'd like to voice your thoughts and ideas about the title sequence for Batman Beyond.
Enjoy!!!
