UNIVERSAL PICTURES has just recently put up little 'advance' lookies at there 1999 slate of films. And given the slow state of affairs concerning news right now, I decided to take a gander and see if I could comment on any of it here. First up, let's look at MYSTERY MEN. Well, it's the one I'm most curious about. Why? Well, I just love DARK HORSE COMICS and root for each and every single one of their properties to be converted to film. Especially HELLBOY, which I feel is the cat's meow of cool. Anyway, they don't have any news about HELLBOY, but they did have this pic from MYSTERY MEN:
Yeah, I know, taint the greatest pic in the world, but hey God forbid you try to make a great impression with your first image released to the public... right? That said... well gosh, any movie that has a cast that includes: Ben Stiller, Hank Azaria, William H.Macy, Paul Reubens, Claire Forlani , Wes Studi, Janeane Garofalo, Geoffrey Rush, Lena Olin, Tom Waits, Greg Kinnear and Eddie Izzard. Well, that's just too dang cool.
The above image is Kevin Costner in FOR LOVE OF THE GAME, the third in the line of Kevin Costner baseball movies, this one directed by Sam "I Am Cool" Raimi (who by the way told a fella just a couple of days ago that he was working on the script for the FOURTH EVIL DEAD film). I've heard the script is incredible, but as of yet, I have been unable to procure it... All in good time.
Well, here's an official look at Jim Carrey in MAN ON THE MOON, and he looks... well, the way he's supposed to look. For lots of ya, this has been the movie to look forward to. We've been covering this throughout the duration, and everything we have heard has been... well... what we have been wanting to hear... This is highly anticipated.
