Well folks I had to do some changing to protect the identity of the individual who sent this in, but let me assure you that the person adequately proved their "position" that they could get this info which came out of Scorsese fairly recently (past week or two), so here ya go...
He got to ask him a few questions, one of them being about what is next big project is.
He (Scorsese) told him a bit about "Bringing Out the Dead", but mainly told him about DINO.
He said that he (probably meaning his people) has been in talks with Tom Hanks for Dino, Adam Sandler for Joey Bishop, and Wesley Snipes for Sammi Davis Jr. He mentioned John Travolta for Frank Sinatra, but said that he didn't think that would be able to happen. He did say that he is aiming for Fall/Winter 1999 to start shooting, and also said that he has an incredible script to work from.
My brother said that he was really nice and that he hung out with him and talked flicks for a little while before leaving. My bro said that it was a life affirming moment! Anyway, I hope this little scoop helps you out. Power to the People!
