Just got word that the screenwriter that had been working on TOMB RAIDER has left that project right now, and I can tell you this source KNOWS what he/she/it’s talking about. It’s one of the longest sporadic spies in the game, and it/she/he has never ever bungled a bit of information. And just out of curiousity, what else is producer Larry Gordon up to? He’s usually working on some pretty damn cool projects. If ya know, drop me a line.
I just got word that Brent Friedman is no longer involved as writer on the Tomb Raider movie. His first draft of the script was pretty darn bad, and after details of it leaked to the fan sites it seems Larry Gordon had the good sense to revert to "Plan B" -- another script currently being written by an as-yet-unidentified writer. Should be good news for everyone who was pissed off about news of the crappy script, but it's of course a setback for the development of the project... that Summer 1999 release is looking less likely...
