Ok folks this was printed up in Calgary from an interview with Number One himself. There are a couple of things to realize here. First off is there is apparently a STRIKING similarity between the TOTAL RECALL 2 script and the MINORITY REPORT script that allegedly Spielberg and Cruise are comtemplating. It's hard to determine which was the chicken and which was the egg right now, but... well I'll have my folks look into it further. In the meanwhile let's see where all of this goes, groovy? Cool.

HOLLYWOOD -- Jonathan Frakes has never actually made contact with Arnold Schwarzenegger, but Arnie has asked him to direct Total Recall 2.
Frakes, who plays Commander Riker in Star Trek: The Next Generation, directed Star Trek: First Contact and the newest Generation movie, Star Trek: Insurrection, opening Friday in Calgary.
"After he saw First Contact, Arnold had his agent contact my agent and ask if I'd direct Total Recall 2 for him," says Frakes.
"Arnold is serious because I've already received a draft of a screenplay. As it stands now, it would be a $100-million US picture easily and I'm not certain Miramax Films would spring for that big a budget."
Frakes does have another ace up his sleeve, though.
"Apparently, Sharon Stone wants to return as well -- and it's possible because there is a lot of time travel in this draft of Total Recall 2."
Frakes is also the producer of a new Fox TV series called Roswell High, about six teens, three of whom are aliens.
"We'll finalize casting in the next two weeks," he says.
"We've signed up two young actors named Jason Behr and Colin Hanks."
And yes, that Colin Hanks is the 18-year-old son of Tom Hanks.
