An Update on the State of WARNER ANIMATION: IRON GIANT, OSMOSIS JONES and ZOO

You know folks, every now and again a ray of hope shines through even the denseness of the Warner Brother's SHIELD, and well, right now it seems to be shining on a film called IRON GIANT and a man named BRAD BIRD. I haven't seen much on the project, just the few images that have appeared on the site thus far. Well... I've heard from friends of mine that have seen actual footage that... well... the word 'magical' seems to be fitting the flick. It's a film that has pretty much been left in the hands of happy animators and a director that really and truly understands happy animators. Unless the same tragic Warner Brothers marketing that has befallen the upcoming sinker JACK FROST (and I'm not even going to say the film deserves that, but my God what dimwit designed a bad FROSTY THE SNOWMAN one-sheet?) and the more recent deadly opening starts as SOLDIER and well... you know the D.O.A. list from Warners like that list of faces at the Post Office. But this film... well, it's got magic written all over it. You'll see. The film will get ya. PLEASE WARNERS... CONSULT WITH THE FILMMAKERS ON AN ADVERTISING CAMPAIGN, DON'T LEAVE IT TO THE FELLAS YA USUALLY DO... Hell beg Gordon Patterson over at New Line to help ya out. Just don't let this film go unnoticed! Sigh... Anyway, the future of Warner's Animation lies upon this film. And with a project so uber-cool like OSMOSIS JONES and NEW GODS and well the other properties Warners has... well, Warner Animation should be allowed to THRIVE.... Here's the latest...

Just wanted to drop a line about whats going on at Warner re: Animation.

Iron Giant looks incredible. I was in a screening a few weeks back for the muckity mucks at Warners and women sitting behind me were crying. People cried at Quest for Camelot, but for all the wrong reasons. Iron Giant should be done production in February.

In development, Osmosis Jones looks really cool. What I've seen of it, way cool character designs and script is funny as all getup. Imagine SHAFT meets INNERSPACE. Now all they need is for the Warner Idiots to green light it.

ZOO, the animal escape from a zoo appears to have been ditched by Warners. FYI - Disney is doing a zoo escape movie. Must have heard WB gave it the ditch. Good ideas are so hard to find these days. Another mistake by the WB idiots. Daly, Semel and DiBonaventura just don't get it.

Look out below Universal, Warners is coming to join you.

Keep it real,
