Harry here with a correction for a story that Father Geek posted up while I was out in the field... Boy do I have some typing to do.... It concerns the comments in a review that FATHER GEEK put up from someone who recently saw a screening of MIGHTY JOE YOUNG.... This comes from a Operative at the absolute pinnacle of effects animation involved with the project. This should produce a smile for everyone....
Just wanted to let you know that father geek be have some "mud-en-his-eye" on that Mighty Joe Young review (no disrepect, mind you!). I was one of the cg animators on Joe (Dream Quest's portion) and I can assure you with 100% accuracy that there ain't no cg animals in the movie at all besides for Joe himself.
Methinks it's pretty darned funny that cg has gotten to the point that live-action can be pointed out as "bad cg"!! Must have been because the animation on Joe was just so darned good that "real" motion looked bad next to it, eh?!
